Agile and Scrum for Teams (2 days)

The Agile and Scrum training for teams is designed as a hands-on training workshop delivered to entire teams at the same time, including the Product Owner and the Scrum Master. The benefits of this Agile training approach is that it accelerates team development, the team benefits by using their actual sprint work in the course exercises, and the team can share their specific challenges and make decisions on improvements. There is also a significant team-building benefit of this training approach which accelerates team development.  This course can also include team training on Kanban.

Professional Scrum Master (2 days)

The Professional Scrum Master (PSM) training is a 2-day course that covers the principles and empirical process theory of Scrum and agility, the Scrum framework itself, and the specific role of the Scrum Master. The PSM class introduces the principles and empirical process theory underpinning the Scrum framework. These are foundational insights upon which the rules and roles of Scrum are explored and discussed. The focus on the Scrum Master role includes advanced thinking tools for servant-leadership and behavioral shifts, working with people and teams, coaching and facilitation, and scaling Scrum.

Scrum Product Owner (2 days)

The Scrum Product Owner Workshop is a two-day training that covers the principles of Scrum and agility, the role of the Product Owner, building and sustaining a product vision, and managing a Product Backlog.  The Agile workshop dives deep into the role of the Product Owner, going beyond simple product backlog management.

Agile and Scrum Team Coaching

As Agile and Scrum Coaches, we come alongside your Scrum Teams and help them grow through teaching, mentoring, and feedback appropriate to the team maturity level.  We observe key Scrum events, and provide one-on-one coaching for Scrum Masters and Product Owners.  Most new Scrum Teams require coaching, especially in the first 6 sprints.  Our experience has shown that within 6-9 sprints, teams require less and less coaching and are well on their way to self-organization.

We also work with the leaders in the organization, and the Agile Champions team to help address organizational impediments and support Agile Transformations.

Agile and Scrum Assessments

Team level assessments provide insights into team health, performance, and maturity.  Vitality Chicago Inc. offers a Scrum Adoption assessment which measures 50 key adoption criteria and provides a gauge of the team's maturity.  We also offer a Team Health Survey which captures team member opinions about 12 key team dimensions.  Both surveys can be used quarterly to help teams see strengths and weaknesses, areas where they have improved, and areas where they may want to further improve.  Vitality Chicago Inc. can also make recommendations to managers and leaders regarding systemic challenges or patterns seen across teams.
